PRACTICAL TRAVEL ADVICE
Footwear: Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or trainers with good grip. Avoid flip-flops and smooth-soled shoes on ancient stone surfaces.
Sun protection: Take a hat or cap, high-factor sun cream and sunglasses. There is limited shade on the Acropolis, even in early September.
Water: Carry water and drink regularly throughout the day.
Clothing: Choose light, breathable clothing for daytime sightseeing.
Eating: Dinner around 19:30–20:30 works well and allows you to enjoy cooler evenings.
Money: Cards are widely accepted, but carry a small amount of cash for cafés, kiosks and small purchases.
Valuables: Take normal precautions in busy tourist areas, especially around Monastiraki and crowded metro stations.
Phone: Keep Google Maps, hotel details, tour information and ferry tickets readily accessible.

YOUR JOURNEY IN ONE LINE
ADAGIO LEARN & GO
Personally planned travel • Tailor-made experiences • Thoughtful itineraries
There are flights almost every afternoon from Bologna airport to Athens.
The hotel can organize a car to pick you up from the airport and take you back.
This is recommended as the distance from the airport is about 40 mins by car.
Use Uber taxis, they are faster and safer than buses and metro which are difficult to follow.
There are other hotels around the same area with the same star rating.
For souvenirs
The best area is Monastiraki flea market
